JAKARTA – Beberapa peristiwa dan catatan sejarah penting terjadi baik dalam maupun luar negeri yang terjadi pada tanggal 8 november tiap tahunnya. Beberapa di antaranya adalah, lolosnya Adolf Hitler dari upaya pembunuhan sampai Masyumi deklarasi jadi partai politik (parpol).
Untuk mengingat atau pun menambah wawasan sejarah, Okezone telah merangkum sejumlah peristiwa dan kejadian penting di tanggal 8 November dari Wikipedia, antara lain:
1. Adolf Hitler lolos dari upaya pembunuhan
8 November 1939, Adolf Hitler lolos dari upaya pembunuhan di Munich. Hitler adalah seorang politisi Jerman dan ketua Partai Nazi, Partai Pekerja Jerman Sosialis Nasional) kelahiran Austria.
Ia menjabat sebagai Kanselir Jerman sejak 1933 sampai 1945 dan diktator Jerman Nazi (bergelar Führer und Reichskanzler) mulai tahun 1934 sampai 1945. Hitler menjadi tokoh utama Jerman Nazi, Perang Dunia II di Eropa, dan Holocaust.
2. Abraham Lincoln kembali jadi Presiden AS
8 November 1864, Abraham Lincoln terpilih kembali sebagai Presiden Amerika Serikat. Dia adalah Presiden Amerika Serikat yang ke-16, menjabat sejak 4 Maret 1861 hingga terjadi pembunuhannya.
Dia memimpin bangsanya keluar dari Perang Saudara Amerika, mempertahankan persatuan bangsa, dan menghapuskan perbudakan. Namun, saat perang telah mendekati akhir, dia menjadi presiden AS pertama yang dibunuh.
Sebelum pelantikannya pada tahun 1860 sebagai presiden pertama dari Partai Republik, Lincoln berprofesi sebagai pengacara, anggota legislatif Illinois, anggota DPR Amerika Serikat, dan dua kali gagal dalam pemilihan anggota senat.
Cole memulai kariernya sebagai pemain yunior West Ham United. Ia kemudian masuk dalam skuat utama West Ham pada tahun 1998 dan membawa West Ham meraih gelar juara Piala FA U18 tahun 1999. Cole bermain lebih dari 100 kali selama lima tahun kariernya bersama West Ham.
Pada tahun 2003, ia bergabung dengan Chelsea. Cole memenangkan sejumlah gelar juara dengan Chelsea: tiga gelar Liga Primer Inggris, tiga Piala FA, dua Piala Liga Inggris, dan Community Shield. Setelah kontraknya bersama Chelsea berakhir, pada bulan Juli 2010 Cole bergabung dengan Liverpool.

4. Masyumi deklarasikan jadi parpol
8 November 1945, Masyumi mendeklarasikan dirinya sebagai partai politik (parpol). Masyumi, adalah sebuah partai politik Islam terbesar di Indonesia selama Era Demokrasi Liberal di Indonesia. Partai ini dilarang pada tahun 1960 oleh Presiden Sukarno karena diduga mendukung pemberontakan PRRI.
